Has Your Supplier Become A Dot Com? Stakemill Still Offers Services

Has Your Supplier Become A Dot Com? Stakemill Still Offers Services

Recently in Florida two land survey and construction equipment suppliers have significantly reduced the number of sales employees and added web masters to focus on selling online. We think that is like basing your business on todays number one song or fashion, it will definitely be out of style tomorrow. Being the one that grew the business from a one man operation into what it is today separates Stakemill from these other suppliers as they have been handed the business and do not know the customers wants, needs or even their faces.

Stakemill has always offered manufacturer workshops and demo clinics at our largo facility. For our customers that purchase a new rotary laser, auto level, theodolite, range finder, total station or GPS we can schedule a clinic for you to show you how to use these new tools at our Largo facility. Simply check our website for the current schedule or when purchasing your unit get registered for the next clinic.

Our vendors are the ones that can tell you Stakemill went from no accessory sales to being one of the biggest in possibly the worse economic time, from 2007 to 2012. While the others were all relying on what happened in the past Stakemill set out to chart new paths in sales of supplies and GPS units, that has allowed us to pass the others up. Now in 2012 when everyone is going to online sales only Stakemill can see the new course is to service what you sell and to offer support, something a webmaster, a banker or a son who inherits a business can not offer thier customers.

Which Do You Use – Field Books or Data Collectors

Which Do You Use – Field Books or Data Collectors

Recently I had an interesting conversation with a colleague of mine, he asked what we do with the information we collect about products our customers use. Of course that is information we use to help better market our services and good to our customers but we basically do it with our in store customers, why not include our on-line shoppers as well? that has brought me to today’s blog entry-

hich method of data logging do you use?

1) Field Books or 2) An Electronic Data Collector

Please comment below as we do not open many entries and allow communication with our customers unitl now. This will allow us to reach our more than 8,000 on-line cusotmers in addition to our 300 plus in state customers.
